
We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Executive to lead our growth efforts. This individual will serve as the primary BD lead, managing pipeline development and capture strategies.
Hybrid: 75% Remote / 25% On-Site
Location: Must reside in DC, VA, or MD
Salary:
$92,000 per year
Additional:
2% profit sharing on all contracts won
Core Responsibilities:
Opportunity Identification:
Research and identify new business opportunities, including IT modernization, cybersecurity, and emerging technology initiatives.
Capture Management:
Develop and execute capture plans, win strategies, and teaming opportunities.
Relationship Building:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, industry partners, large prime contractors, government agencies, contracting officers, acquisition professionals, and teaming collaborators.
Proposal Support:
Collaborate with proposal teams to develop compliant, compelling proposals aligned with federal requirements.
Representation:
Attend related industry day events, conferences, client meetings, and networking sessions to promote Calano & Associates capabilities.
Market Intelligence:
Monitor procurement trends, budgets, and priorities; provide insights to leadership for strategic planning.
Revenue Targets:
Drive pipeline growth to meet or exceed annual revenue goals.
Minimum Requirements:
- Proven experience in federal government contracting
- At least one successfully secured federal contract valued at $4 million or more
- Ability to attend industry days, conferences, and client meetings
- Established relationships with large prime businesses, government agencies, contracting officers, and acquisition professionals
